Diabetic Doll ♥ Lilly

When I found out Lilly was diabetic I searched for toys for young children with diabetes... I couldn't find anything... So my wheels started spinning, and I knew I would CREATE a diabetic doll for her.
Here she is
The Diabetic Doll

My mom made her little bloomers,
I added felt hearts to all the spots Lilly gets injected. Her backside, complete with Shot Spots ♥ Red zebra print dress
Flannel pajamas
Of course Dr. Lilly needed a medical kit.
Complete with syringes, tape, face mask, gloves, tongue depressors, and cotton pads.
Now Lilly can give her doll "insulin shots"

  11. That is very sweet. I have a niece and nephew that are both type 1 diabetic. When my niece was diagnosed I gave her a stuffed dog that she still has almost 10 years later (she was 5). That dog has had more shots and pokes and insulin sets put in it than can be imagined! Help a frightful thing be a little more manageable.

  15. Oh Jen, that is absolutely ingenius and wonderful!!!!!

With so-o many children out there having diabetics, perhaps you should patient it, and start your own business making them. I know many a grandparent whom would be snatching them up!!!

p.s. I wrote that part before I decided to go ahead and read through the other commentors - so I was not copying Amy R. or Lemon Drops Simple Stuff when I wrote it o;-]

Isin't it cool how when we have a heavy desire in our heart to do something 'super special' in order to be an encouragement to somebody, the Lord blesses us with some wonderful idea? He is just so amazing!!!!

Not sure who will appreciate the doll more, Lilly or her mama ;->

Well done Jen (and Jen's mom)!!
