A birthday and just BECAUSE gifts!

On Tuesday my baby, my sweet first born, joy of my life had a birthday... 16... Wasn't it only yesterday he was born? On his first birthday Papa and Grandma bought him his first set of wheels a mini van none the less! He loved his van, spent hours in his van....



Here he is now {yes, we STILL have the mini van}

Only now, he drives my SUV and his dads truck....
{sniff, sniff}



As for gifts just because, Em stopped by with gifts, of course Chris was given a birthday gift, but I was given the SUPER juicy, strawberry needle holder she made!

    My goodness!! Our babies sure are growing up fast...only 2 weeks apart! Happy Birthday Chris!!
    Great "extra" gifts, too. I think the moms should all get gifts and children's birthdays...after all, they chose to give birth to us, right? Enjoy the day.

    Oh I know all too well how that feels to have your son grow up like that. My first born is 17 and just enlisted in the Marines and will ship out next June. :( How can I be so sad and proud at the same time??? I dont know but I am! Your son is a handsome guy!! I love the comparison on the mini van too cute

    Happy birthday to your cute son. Mine is 15 - will be 16 in February. Isn't it amazing how fast the time has flown??? I LOVE those pictures with the little truck. That is so cute!

    My first born is now 26. And this past Thursday, his wife gave birth to our first grandchild (I mentioned she was coming last week ;-}) and it's a GIRL :-}
