From Furniture to Custom Play Kitchen...

I wanted a play kitchen for my daycare kids, but not just any ordinary play kitchen, I wanted a custom play kitchen... Here is the finished project followed by lots of before pictures!!
I L.O.V.E. it...

My kitchen started out being this...
a hinged sewing side table, I paid $6.99 for it...

I sent my parents on the hunt, remember they are the antiquing king and queen, here was my list, and old small bathroom faucet complete with spout and knob, and an enamel {preferably chipped bowl} Here is what they found... AWESOME, a rectangle bowl even better!

I then drove the cabinet and pieces to my Papa's, he along with a drawing of what I wanted, installed my "sink"

and went above and BEYOND my vision, I asked for a backing, shelf on top and on bottom. He then added scrolled sides and mimicked the bottom scrolled wood on the original piece as the decorative top!! PLUS he added a rack in the "oven" I never would have thought!!
Ta Da...
After sanding, stripping, and sanding some more, it was ready for several coats of paint, bead board backing, distressed edges and a top coat of tea stain.
My parents also found the tin baking dishes, tin plates, and old pan at the antique shop!
PERFECT

Now I would like to make some tiny embroidered dish towels to loop through the "oven" handle.

And, make fabric and felt food!
