My bloggy friend Allikaye's Mama, tagged me in a HAPPY post... I am to name things that make me happy here goes ....
My number ONE most HAPPY "thing" in my life is my HUBBY and our RELATIONSHIP
Our SUPER big FAMILY {who all live within minutes from us} make me HAPPY.
Both sets of grandparents LOVE having the kids over, and to spend the night, they are constantly VERY generous with us and our CHILDREN.
Seeing the MIRACLES the LORD does in our LIVES daily, never ceases to AMAZE me.
We are BLESSED beyond belief.
I am SUPER HAPPY blogging has allowed me the opportunity to meet one of my BEST FRIENDS, and get so MANY great CRAFTING ideas, and AMAZING recipes like this one for...
COOKIE DOUGH PIE
You will need a pie pan {glass}
A package of Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies
You will dip each cookie in milk, just a quick dip and shake off excess milk. Arrange the cookies on the bottom of your pie pan, break a few to fill in.Now here is where I make the recipe slightly complicated, but trust me it's worth it. HOMEMADE whip cream. I used 1 pint heavy whipping cream.
and whipped in 3/4 cup sugar
But if you want to make it EASIER you can use Cool Whip, I just don't care for it.
After you have your layer of cookie, you spread a layer of whip cream, then another dipped cookie layer, and top with whip cream. I also drizzled some chocolate sauce to the top. Freeze for 2 to 3 hours before serving. I actually made this the night before.
The dipping of the cookies, makes them become dough like?? Go figure, all I know is, it was a HUGE hit and oh so YUMMY!
I am catching up since we returned home, and loved the happy post. That kitchen just keeps getting cuter. I bet the little ones are going to love to play with that! Jackie
ReplyDeleteThis was a great post- thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI spent 3 years cooking for 2 different fraternity houses and those boys loved this dessert.
ReplyDeleteBut for them, I just used cookies dunked in milk and Cool Whip.
I would use 5 packs of cookies and Cool Whip and make it one those big clear bowls like salad bars use for the lettuce.
I bet it is to-die-for with real whipped cream and chocolate on top!
