Buyers Remorse

Um yeah, I have buyers remorse... I bought this head and foot board at a garage sale this weekend... HOWEVER... it isn't the look I was going for... I don't even have ANY girls that live in this house... Yes, I love it... but not here, my hubby says it has to stay until I HAVE MY OWN GARAGE SALE to sell it...
I do however LOVE the vintage chenille spread, that WILL stay.

  8. It sure is a lovely bed! I find it so hard to walk away from a good deal at a yard sale that I am often bringing things home and then wondering what on earth was I thinking!

  9. I love it. I have a friend who has all boys. She did her guest room in pink and ruffles and lace. It was hilarious. We teased her about it but she had lots of fun with it. Mimi

  12. I love it also! I think I would maybe add a canopy on it and then it might look bette for you...Usually with the high posters a canopy is usually with them. Another thing you might could do is cut the posters half way down and that way it might look better to you....either way I am in the hunt for a bed like that for Lexi...She is wanting a new bed instead of her daybed...she is using Tabitha's from when she was in high school.

  15. I'm loving that! I don't have little girls anymore but I always wanted something like that for them when they were growing up. Do your best to "live with it" and make it pretty for "you" to enjoy.
    Enjoy your day!

  16. I just popped over from Lori's blog to say hello and I've got buyers remorse today......on some paint.....thank goodness I didn't go for the gallon size!

Love the pictures of the boys and their new backpacks! We start school on Monday and it's so not cool to be in the same pack as last year ;)

  20. It is wonderful!! My girls would fight over that one for sure!! You can try to CraigsList it. That has always been a nice way to sell stuff when I didn't have time for a garage sale. Let us know how it goes!! :)

  21. Is there an option to paint it black and angle it out from the corner of the room? Might change the whole look to something you love...or it might make it worse! Hard to tell from the photo.

  22. You could paint it a different color that wouldn't make it so feminine, if that's what you're thinking of.

  23. I would rethink about selling it. Maybe painting it black and adding a lace canope to it. Just love it plus the quilt is beautiful.
