Chair Make Over

My parents picked this sturdy ol chair up at a yard sale for a couple bucks for me...
I was going to keep it white and sand it back a bit, and then I found the most perfect green spray paint ever!

RUST-OLEUM Fern
I have loved this tape measure fabric forever and bought it years ago from Joann's you know the yards of fabric you have and love so much you can't bring yourself to cut... Well I cut it and ♥ the way my funky chair turned out!

  10. Hi Jen :-)
"Funky" is a VERY appropriate word to use in describing how your chair turned out!!! chuckle, chuckle! But aren't you a bit young to be familiar with that word? ;-p

Lime green ('fern' green) is like my all time can't stand color. I don't go to extremes in my not liking it, I just avoid it when ever it's easily possible to do so.

However, it is Kayla's (my son Brent's girlfriend) all time favorite color. Crazy, huh?!?

You'll get a chuckle out of this. She absoluelty loves the quilt that I made for Analyse, and wants me to make one for her - in bright pink, orange and bright lime green colors. Such a combination makes me cringe. LOL!!!

I am 'planning' on making each of "the boys" their own quilts... part of the top will be front or back sections of T-shirts from sports teams they were on, 'themes' different summers when they served at camp, and a few of their ever so to the person appropriate sayings from their T-shirts. So I might just grant her her wish ... espically if they are engaged by the time I give "the boys" their quilts .... we'll see.

I too like the fabric you had 'treasured' but gave in and used to cover the chair's seat.

Where in your house are you using your chair?
