$2.00 topiary
Now before you go thinkin' I just got these, I need to make a disclaimer... I have NOT been to Goodwill in over a MONTH... It's torture I tell ya, I am having bad withdrawals.... I did get these sometime in February. Now for the question...??
Should I leave the pot terra cotta or paint it, if so what color??
I like the natural look going on, but I think it might need color. The other thing I am considering is putting a big honkin' bow on the wreath... Any opinions??

I like the natural look of both. Great finds! Why doesn't our GW have anything like that. If we did, it would be $10.00. Jackie
I thnk the wreath needs a bird and I would paint the terra cotta pot with a shabby light aqua blue with a bit of brown. I think this would go nicely with the eggs. Just my opinion.
What great finds! I would paint the pot a robin's egg blue and have a matching bow on the wreath, but it is beautiful as is too!
Love your goodies from Goodies!! If you put a bow on the wreath, what about one made from burlap ribbon?? This coming from a girl who hearts burlap!!
If I were to paint the pot, I am thinking an earthy sort of green, not bright, and white wash a creamy white over it. Just a little color, but not too much.
I'm jealous...

I think your shabby look would be so cute on this. (The 'aged' look) You are so good at that! Great finds!
Oh, and a bow. of course :)
Love your treasures, I would paint the pot a muted green and add a white & green polk-a-dotted bow!
again, JEALOUS!! You find the most amazing things in your goodwill. I love them both and a bow would be great! Paint would be fantastic too. Whatever you do, I am sure they will both turn out amazing!!
I'd paint the pot a soft cream and then distress and stain it.
Paint it! If you like the natural look then go with a beige!!
If you are looking for a more natural look, I would just add a bow and maybe a bird. Paint color for me would be either an aqua or a robin's egg blue. I have a slight fetish for that color right now!! Good find!! Our Goodwill rarely has anything.... :)
"Hi, my name is Cheryl, and I admit to being a Goodwill/missions stores 'junkie'." :-D I not only decorate for holidays via them; I also did 98% of my sons wedding reception either via mission stores or clearance bins in regular stores (as in, 65 to 90% off bins).
I REALLY like the wreath!!! Gonna have to go browsing for one for myself this week ;-> (or at least the materials to make one from).
If you add a bow, I'd suggest attaching it to the top, where you can see the metal frame; and picking ribbon that will draw in the color of the brick wall the wreath is hanging on.
I think I saw those there the other day! I knew they could be turned into something cute, but I wasn't up for it at the moment. Can't wait to see what you do with them!
Those are SO CUTE!!!! I'd leave the top one alone, but how about painting the bottom one turquoise blue and placing a big old black and white plaid ribbon around it?
AWESOME Easter finds! I would paint the pot black, antiqued white, or brown... staying with the natural theme but not the terra cotta color... or find how to give it that aged look when the pots get all white and dusty from the minerals in the water :)
I think there are a lot of great suggestions here. I like the natural look, but you could patina it just to give it a little age.
There ya go, my two cents
Wow - awesome deals!!! Have you seen the wreaths with wide ribbon looped through and then a bow at the top where it hangs? I think I saw it on Kimba's site (soft place to land). That would be really cute!
Have a super week!

I think you should mix some light green or blue paint with water and just "whitewash" the pot so that some color shows through. Great finds! I have got to start shopping at thrift stores!
