My neighbor Beckie decided to paint her house and mentioned she wished the previous owners hadn’t painted the brick the color of the house… Well, I thought… why couldn’t we faux paint the bricks to look like the real brick?? It even looks amazing up close, because after all it is real brick so the texture is there….
Before
We diluted brick red paint with water and simply rubbed it into the brick using foam brushes…
Mid way through with just red paint.
Then we diluted brown and black and used foams brushes and rubbed in color…

You did a great job. I would never have known it was painted again if you hadn't said so. Looks like the real deal to me. Jackie

Totally amazing! I have a painted fireplace hearth in my bedroom - it's painted white and now I think I'm going to do a little magic and give it a new look - thanks so much for posting about this! xo, Nan
