A Cricut for a Cricket!

YEP... I got my very own cricut and two cartridge! Jasmine and Doodletype...

Joann's had them for 99 bucks {day after Thanksgiving sale} and the cartridges were only $37.88 {regularly $89.99}... Here's the story....

After everyone left our house Thanksgiving night my hubby and I were lounging on the couch and he said, your sister said, Joann's had cricuts on sale tomorrow... me: "really" well I wouldn't stand in lines and deal with all the crowds, {I have never shopped the day after Thanksgiving} honestly I'd rather pay full price and not deal with all the people. Well my hubby on the other hand, LOVES it {so do our teenagers} they go get coffee at 4 am and stand in those crazy lines, he doesn't even have anything to buy in mind, he just likes the hype! So he says, "I'll go get you the cricut in the morning"... I laugh and say, "You are crazy, crafting women {me included} can be crazy nuts... Babe you don't stand a chance! Besides they probably only have 5 at that price and doubt seriously you would even get one" {I know negative Nelly}....

We both end up waking at 3 am, I whisper, "I can't sleep I am too excited!" He says, "why"... "Because I am going to decorate the Christmas tree today!" He says, "I am going to get up and sneak out the garage {so not to wake the little boys} and go to Joann's... I giggle, at his determination.... a little before 5 am I get a text message... "I am the 5th person in line" WOW... I am impressed!

At 6:05 another text message "I GOT IT"

Are you kidding me... apparently he was the second in line to purchase and guess what they only had 6.... He even bought me two cartridges....

Okay, you can ALL be jealous, not because I got the cricut I have been wanting for about 9 months, but because my hubby is the BEST! Do you know many men {he was the only one there} that would do that!

Thank you Spike...

{by the way A Cricut for a Cricket title is because "Cricket" is one of my many nicknames, given to me by that wonderful hubby}

You are so lucky!! I was almost jealous but then my mom and I are getting me one for Christmas. Bummer that I didn't look in JoAnn's paper. Michael's had them advertised for $149.99 and were out, but the guy is giving us a raincheck. Then I thought, do I want the bigger one from Wal-Mart?? I am so excited about that baby!! Oh, and props to the husband, there is no way mine would have done that!!

What a sweetie! My hubby got me one for Christmas last year. Same type of story, only they were more than $99 last year. Way to score, Spike!

You will have so much fun with your new toy!
