Our neighbors just returned from China with their 6 year old son.

He has the greatest smile and is so sweet...

We missed them while they were gone and couldn't wait to meet the newest addition to their family!

 I had to make this camper pin cushion the minute I pinned it...

 Frappes at least twice a week, BUT I have switched to non fat...

Wanted to take flowers to my neighbor, my hydrangeas were looking pretty sad, 

so I painted a mini Katie Daisy inspired canvas...

Burlap Mason Jar with Flower Tutorial

Supplies:

Mason jar

Burlap (I used the huge roll from the garden dept. at Walmart)

Cut to the size of your jar and glue on.

Coffee filters or tissue paper

Twine

Glue

Coffee (for staining)

For making the flower you will cut coffee filters or tissue paper into

3, six inch circles.

Crinkle them up it makes the flower look better.

Dip them in coffee at this point for a bit if you want the stained look.

Let dry.

Stack on top of each other.

Grab in the middle.

Twist.

Tie with a piece of twine leaving long tails on each side of the knot.

Fluff

Tie twine to the mouth of your jar.

There you have a pretty

centerpiece, vase, mother's day gift, teacher gift, etc

Fun Shopping Weekend

Allow me to preface this with I have not been "new" shopping for myself in a long time, most all of my shopping is done at thrift stores (which I love)

but this weekend was a "new" shopping and FUN weekend...

My hubby spoiled me...

This adorable Fossil summer purse was on clearance at Marshall's

My PRECIOUS "Phyllis" finally quit (well at least the rug attachment part)

I'm sure I will eventually get her restored but for now, I needed a vacuum)

I bought this Electrolux at Costco, I'm thinking her name shall be "Eloise" ?

Any suggestions?

My friend chose "Hope" as her word for 2012

Such a fun season of JOY...

One of the little guys I take care of did the 12 days of Christmas for me, I felt like a kid again... It was sooo much fun opening a gift a day...

Another little guy gave me a gift card to get a pedicure... YES please...

... and one of my besties hooked me up with tons of thirty-one products and a Christmas bonus!

I feel soooo loved by my little friends...

On Christmas morning our boys got so see what Santa brought,

he only fills stockings in this house...
