I've outgrown my drawers!

How's that for a title.... hahahaha.... I mean my ribbon drawer... I want some advice...
How do you store your ribbon?
My current storage isn't working!

I have a ribbon jar for scraps...

...and stacks

Maybe I should finish by saying I never buy ribbon full price unless it's the 47 cent and 99 cent WalMart rolls, I always buy it on clearance and after holidays....

I'm afraid I have no solution to offer, but I thought I'd tell you I'm stuck too. I have ribbon all over just like you. I hope someone has something good to share!

Hi,
You can store your ribbon rolls on pant hangers with 5 or 6 bars. Then just hang them in a closet!

I have been wanting to try an oatmeal box with a slit for the ribbon to come out covered in fabric or scrap-paper for ribbon storage...google it to see what I mean. But you probably have way more ribbon than I do.

How about a dowel suspended on hooks? Or my sister in law made something out of a shoebox-then you could stack them...I don't remember the specifics, but I'll have to ask her...

I have a storage problem myself. I never know how to store ribbon and other trim other than in baskets, which isn't working. I have seem where people thread them on something like a paper towel holder. I did see some ribbon that I have too!!

I can only think of the dowel solution. When I worked at the christain book store we had to wrap gifts. They had all the ribbons on a long rod hanging on the wall.

Mine are in a bucket, and a tupperware, and here there and everywhere... at least they are pretty and so it doesnt look bad to have stacks everywhere!

I've just recently dealt with this problem too. Somewhere on someone's blog I saw that they used paper towel holders. I thought, what a great idea! I see those all the time at GW. You know, the stand-up kind with a dowel...then you can stack up all your ribbons on the dowel! Works perfect!

My ribbon collection is all over the place...there is the cutest ribbon organizer, that I would love to buy and decorate, but I haven't yet...I can't find a link, but when I do, I'll post it.

Good luck! Love your new blog header by the way!

I saw on someones blog they use paper towel holders to hold their ribbon...I thought that was pretty cool...They spray painted the towel holder to match teh decor in their craft room so it would match.

Love how you store your scrap ribbon...I don't have that much yet to worry where to put it...I have just started buying up the rolls that are on sale.
