Cleaning Poem

Cleaning Poem

I asked the Lord to tell me

Why my house is such a mess.
He asked if I'd been 'computering',
And I had to answer 'yes.'
He told me to get off my fanny,

And tidy up the house.
And so I started cleaning up...
The smudges off my mouse.
I wiped and shined the topside..

That really did the trick.....
I was just admiring my good work.
I didn't mean to 'click.'
But click, I did, and oops -

I found
A real absorbing site
That I got SO way into it -
I was into it all night.
Nothing's changed except my mouse.
It's very, very shiny.
I guess my house will stay a mess.......
While I sit here on my hiney.

L - O - L !!!!

For the record, it's a good thing you stuck to only shining up the mouse while the computer was still on. Yes, I speak from personal experiance o;-p.

Formerlly I was a 'manager's assistant' at a NAPA store. Not an 'Assistant Manager', but a 'Manager's Assistant'. I did all of the things he either didn't have time to do, or didn't want to do. Keying things in came under the latter part.

Our store also had a machine shop in the back - like where they would turn rotors, etc.. Yeah, it = dirty dust!! Galore!!

One day after I had been on his computer for awhile, I just could not stand it's grungieness any-more!!! Yuck!!! So I started cleaning it. No, I couldn't turn it off first because his was the main one that powered all of them through out the store.

I got that keyboard so shiny clean :-} I was so happy with my self ... until he came rushing into the office ... somehow I had made the whole stores system CRASH! Yikes! And he could NOT get it right again. And yet that manager had a side business of computer trouble shooting 8-/ Oh man!

He ended up on the phone to headquarters, "What buttons did she push?" "All of them, she cleaned my d___ keyboard!" "Why? What business is it of hers?!" "She was doing some keying for me and decided that she couldn't stand how gross it was anymore." "Who is she?!" "She's a lady I hired to assist me with different things, such as ...." "..." "Put it this way, She's a mom, to the core. She has four sons." "... " "Yeah, usually that is a big asset, but right now ...."

o:-}

Fortunetly he did not fire me. But I did get my own desk to work from, and all of his secret passwords written down and kept under lock so I could just get my work done without going into his office ;-p

For the record, I do clean our computer keyboard here to home. But I make sure it's totally shut down first!!! o;-p And I found that using wet wipes on it works marvously!!!
