Merry Christmas

Did y'all see this in Country Living this month?? I did, and loved it, so here is my version, just soaked my tags in coffee for about 30 minutes, and rubbed my string with brown paint to make it look old... I love the simplicity of it!

Oh how cute! I saw one issue before and really thought it wasn't as country as the name makes me think it. I really liked the issue. I just got a free issue of Country Living after buying Farm Chicks cookbook. Look forward to enjoying it for the year.

Have a great weekend! I saw on your FB you were waiting for Christmas cards...hope you get lots...I would have sent a card to you if I had your address.

Jen, I smirked when I saw the Santa hat you had added to your header. ;-} Cute!

I was also impressed with the rock on your hand, which showed in the tutitorial about making a clothes pin manger. Nice!!

I keep 'meaning' to tell you about {I know you never have that problem with good intentions ;-p) these Christmas trees I saw which TOTALLY made me think of you.

The night after Thanksgiving, we met Brian's side of the family for dinner in this O-L-D church, which has been converted into a resteraunt, which is decorated for Christmas year round and it's name is Noel {it's in Jamestown, MI}.

After dinner all of us went through their basement gift shop, and then wandered down the street a short distance to this nearby craft store. I entered the shop and immediatly knew I had to do a super duper quick 'look see' and then get out! There were so many lit scented candles and potporie (Wish comment sections had spell check! 8-/), and I have allergy triggered asthma - a BAD combination!!!

Any-ways, she had these Christmas trees which were very cute - and I honestly wondered if you were her provider of them! Honest!! Ask my daughter-in-love!

The trees were anywhere from about 2 1/2 inches tall to about 8 inches tall. They were made out of narrow strips of material, which had been wound into balls, and then layer after layer stacked together to create Christmas trees.

Most of the narrow(torn edged) strips of material had green background, with red or yellow print on it. But here or there they had placed a ball made from a red background material, with green and yellow print on it.

Like I said, they were very cute - and totally a 'Jen from Lipstick and Laundry' thing!!!!

Jen & Elise - Recently I spotted these salt and pepper shakers that made me think of the two of you, your interests and your friendship. The shakers were squirrels - holding acorns :-D
