Little Lilly

Please keep Little Lilly in your prayers she is the daughter of Cory and Elise.
Lilly is currently in ICU at Scottish Rite Hospital where she was air-lifted after her blood sugar spiked to over 900. Lilly was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes. Her birthday was Feb 1, she turned 5 years old, however spent it sick on the couch, with flu like symptoms they now know were her body actually shutting down due to the diabetes. Elise's blog has updates as I am trying to help her with that as she calls from the hospital.
Here are my thoughts... I would love to gather goodies for their family. If you read my blog you will know Elise and I are best buddies who have never met face to face. Elise loves to craft and is always making and giving such cute gifts. I would like to be able to bless the family with goodies for the children, treats for mom and maybe diabetic books, {I have seen a few children's story books on this topic} and there must be tons of cookbooks as their ENTIRE family will be in this long journey together.
I am also going to list some crocheted necklaces with the proceeds going to their sweet family. Any other ideas would be helpful...
Another thought would be if you have any scriptures that have been a comfort to you, or maybe even one the Lord has given you for them, I would like to compile a list of verses Elise can cling to and pray over Lilly.
*** BTW if anyone knows how or would be willing to make a Loving Little Lilly button, let me know it would be awesome to put it on our side bars!
Thank you!

I would like to send Lilly something. They said in the last post she will have to have 5 shots a day of insulin....how hard that is going to be for her. Do you think our family could send her a Webkinz to cuddle and hold when she is getting her shots? Let me know, or if there is something better you think we could send.

Jen,
Hi. I was given your blog by one of your readers. I run the Cricut Card Fairies on the cricut.com messageboard. We send cards to people that need a lift, or a smile. I would be honored if we made Lilly and her family a mission. I would need a full name and address to give to my fairies for them to send cards to. Please let me know at wkucmb at gmail dot com and I will get it out asap!

She will definitely be in my prayers as well. Have you thought about doing a caring bridge? I know that has been comforting to many people. If you don't know much about it feel free to email me and I will fill you in.
