State Report Alliteration ABC's

My son is in the 5th grade, that means state report time, in fact my friend Susie sent me a GREAT box from her state of Louisiana... Along with the state report they have "projects" due as well... One of them is an Alliteration ABC poster or book...

Alliteration is the repetition of initial sounds in neighboring words...

I really wanted a deck of Louisiana cards, no luck but I did find these travel cards

We painted the faces but not completely, I thought it would be kinda cool to see a little of the cards through, but enough that the actual ABC's we made stood out...
I went to Walmart to buy clear contact paper to "laminate" them, however they were out... Since I had bought a luggage tag as the "book cover" I thought these badge holders would be perfect... Even better than laminating... PLUS they had the oval slit pre cut... bonus no hole punching. The luggage tag I bought had a hot pink lower case "L" on it, that would never do, so we just painted it blue....
Threaded them through...
DONE!

I love this! I have a daughter with special needs, and this would be a great project (we have so many flash cards that easily get scattered)

Those are great! As a teacher, I would give that an A+..especially for creativity! That is awesome you are passing on your creative genius to your kids!!
