Dollar Tree Doily Flower Tutorial

  • Dollar Tree doily mine was a 2 pack 6 inches {I then coffee stained them}
  • Stick
  • Button
  • Scrap green fabric {leaf}

Needle and thread do a basic yo yo style continuous stitch.

Pull to gather and tie off.

Turn inside out so the "pedals" stand out and add a button to the center.

Poke a stick through the back.

For the leaf I just folded a piece of green fabric in half and left the fold uncut, sandwiched the stick between with a piece of batting, you could use felt, this just made my leaf hold its shape. Take a needle and thread and hand stitch around the leaf.
Done...
This took all of 5 minutes...

Hi Jen :-)
While I havn't commented in awhile, I have been enjoying seeing all of your crafting projects. I've also been Thanking the Lord that everybody must be staying healthy so that you can do your projects!

Those cupcakes that you and Em had while making the fabric flowers inspired me .... not sure whether I should thank you or ... o;-p

That doily flower on its own - I love! The whole package with leaf and stem - it is the cutest! You have such a good eye.
