Lamp and Lamp Shade redo...

I purchased this milk glass lamp at Goodwill for $5.00...

Came home and painted the "brass" and wood with Caribbean {color} Apple Barrel paint and used Ralph Lauren's white wash over the paint....

The shade need major help too, I bought a yard of really light aqua fabric from the $1.50 a yard section at Walmart, cut strips, used the longest stitch on my sewing machine to ruffle the fabric and hot glued the fabric on... <Photobucket

What a transformation. I often see these lamps that are mixed with milky glass or crystal glass and wondered if something like this doable. Now I know it is. Love it. So chic!

I just LOVE this lamp! You did a superb job on it. The aqua color is perfect and the shade is adorable. I have been wanting to make one of those.

The lamp looks amazing. I need a new lamp and have been looking throughout the thrift stores for one. I haven't found one yet. Hopefully soon. I love the color you chose.
