Dear....

Dear Favorites,

You know who you are, chocolate, where do I begin... I am MADLY in love with you, yes, L-O-V-E. Peanut M&M's I could eat bag after bag and I'm not talkin' small snack bag, I am talkin' the 8 dollar XXL bag from Costco! Brownies my other love, you know how you quietly call my name late at night until I can no longer ignore you. Less than 30 minutes later you are ready for me to devour, all warm and fudgy. Don't even get me started on Pillsbury chocolate chip cookie dough, just waiting to be sliced and place on a cookie sheet, for warm milk dunking goodness! Then there is Almond Hershey Kisses, Mint meltaways, and BLISS chocolate small bites of YUMMY I can't just stop at ONE.... TORTURE I tell ya...
Now onto my afternoon fizzy LOVE, regular Pepsi poured over ice with a straw! I can barely type without the impulse to get up and pour a glass. I love you so much I revisit you at dinner. In the summer months it's much worse, but even in this freezing cold, I MUST have you. I am writing to tell you this love affair can no longer go on... As much as it pains me, yes PAINS me to let you go, after all these years. I need to get control before I am too far out of control. I am not foolish enough to think I can leave you forever, but I know I can cut way back, I mean WAY back. So I bid you farewell for now, until I am a stronger, slimmer me!
Love,
Junk food Jen

Heya Jen! I'm doing a post on pixies I've inspired people to make...do you care if I share your adorable pixie bouquet?

Well, you are a stronger one than I, Jen. I tell you, every year for Lent, I give up Dr. Pepper. Mind you, I am not Catholic or Methodist, but still the same...One year I gave up sugar all together. I was disappointed that I didn't lose weight, therefore I gave up giving up sugar.

You go girl! I really need to do the same with all diet sodas and sugar in all forms. Or at least cut back! Good luck! Keep us posted.

Oh girl! Do I ever hear you!!! And those descriptions are making me hunger for my own piece of whatever chocolate I have in this house...However, I DO have a bar I can eat (scratch...devour!) without guilt. Boy oh boy is is a little slice of Heaven! I'm here for you if you need support. Sometimes calling a friend can curb certain cravings. Like I said, sometimes. Smiles to you ~T

Good luck! Giving up sugar is on my resolution list -- we'll see if I can make it a week....

I really enjoy your blog. Thanks for letting me stop by!
