Look who I met!

Oh yeah, after a couple years of blog following, emailing, and purchasing kits.... I finally got to meet Tracey from Notes from a Cottage Industry . She was SUPER sweet and the "other Tracey" was wonderful too. I have to tell you they did a GREAT job, while some vendors had tables like at a garage sale, the TRACEY'S booth look like a SHOP, beautifully decorated and displayed, enjoy the photos!

You see this apothecary jar, she came home with me!

Just look at my treasures, my apothecary with glittery eggs, and my glitter clothespins! And for stopping by from "Blogland" Tracey had sweet baby cupcakes waiting! Not only did I get one, but Spike did too! I ate BOTH of them... YUMMY
I didn't want to go empty handed so I took Tracey a paper covered egg, wrapped with ric rac and a rhinestone, then tied one of my birdie brooches to the bag!

For those that know me... Know I have a love affair with vacuums, my Filter Queen is named Phyllis and today we "met" her great great grandmother. I couldn't resist, she came home to live with us too... What should her name be???

What fun!! Where was this fabulous "swap" meet? I'm sure it ws way more classy than that... As for the vacuum, and it being Phyllis' greag-great grandmother, how about G.G.? I had a Great-Greanmother (a real one) and I loved her so much. I just adore the name G.G. It brings back very fond memories for me. Enjoy your great finds! ~TinaW

Jen,
I too was able to make it to the Sac. Antique Fair...aren't Tracey ~1 and 2 just the BEST....I took home the silver tray in picture number 4, the one propped up on that beautiful white table and chairs...I would have loved to purchase that...but we are currently in transition...we will be moving from Texas to Sac in late April or early May...we were there this weekend to check in w/a designer and architect for our home we purchased a few weeks ago...I decided I would be smart and start coordinating my trips w/the Fair.

You were so right about how the Tracey's did things RIGHT with their booth...I only saw one other booth that was done almost as well as theirs...the rest were as you said, Garage Sale looking...which isn't bad...but it was like landing on a beautiful and peaceful island when you visited their booth....Love your pics...I'm hoping mine turned out alright and I can post them soon...thanks for sharing!

BTW...maybe you can name Phyliss' great grandmother...Fionna or something equally as fun as that! Good luck!

Blessings...
Teresa

Thanks for sharing pictures of your loot! I think the new-to-you vacuum should be named "Flo".

first off, how about the name Gretchin?
Aren't we blessed by modern tech.? Vacumes, dishwashers, clothers washers and dryers . . .
I stumbled across your blog and found after reading your profile that we have a LOT in common - a love for our LOrd :-D a love for chocolate (someday the health dept. will get it right when they re-do their food peramid - chocolate IS the basic food group ;-p); and I had four sons, out of six pregnancy's in six and a half years time . . . they are now all in their 20's, and our first grandchild is on the way . . .
