Is it so STRANGE to wear a Skirt??

Maybe when you NEVER {unless it's a wedding or a funeral} wear skirts...
...or when you pair it with your teenage sons ARMY shirt??
Let me say this lovely California weather went from the 60's to the HIGH 90's in 2 days... I have no closet space in this house, so my t shirts live under my bed in spacebags until needed. I decided this spring that since I don't wear shorts, and I find the older I get the LESS I like heat, that I would buy a couple skirts to wear.... If my dad is reading this he is SHOCKED, he used to always want my mom, sister, and I to wear skirts or dresses and we would have no part of that. I am a JEANS girl and so are they...
Anyway with the temp climbing to 96 today I decided to wear this skirt, but had no t shirt to wear with it... Boys closet here I come...
Every single child and my hubby all said, and I quote...

"Why are you wearing a skirt"??

hahahaa... I like to keep them guessing!

I am wearing a skirt because my shorts WON'T fit! Plus all my fat doesn't get squished so tight in a skirt. You know muffin top?!! HeeHee Hee.

I think wearing a flouncy skirt and a tank with some flipflops sounds like the perfect spring and summer outfit.

I absolutely agree! I love the combo, I think it's fabulous!

I actually went to the fabric store and bought a CUTE pattern and fabric to make my own skirt.

I've never made clothes before, but then again I remember I had to teach myself to sew last year in order to make purses.

WOO HOO watch out world the incredibly talented sewing sensation is on a roll!

HA I crack myself up!

Have a fab week sweetie, enjoy the weather.

That is so cute! keeping them guessing... LOL I use to not wear skirts but in the last 2 years they are turning into my go to outfit for the spring and summer months! So much easier than shorts and the leg thing!
i like the t shirt pairing!!!

I LOVE skirts in the summertime. I bought three at Target last year that are cotton and so comfy. I wore them all summer long!

I think you look cute!

Here in west Michigan, we've had light snow flurries the last two nights :-{ . . .
It depends on what I'm doing whether I like skirts or not, some activities are just better done in some form (length) of pants. But skirts can be cooler than pants or shorts, and my husband LOVES it when I wear them!!!
About the being a 'jeans' girl - in "my world", jean skirts still rock ;-p

I'm not a skirt wearer either, and I don't know why. So, I've decided this will be the summer of the skirt:)

Let's keep 'em guessing all the time!! Mwhhhaaaahaaa!

I love wearing skirts because there is air flowage, if you know what I mean :) You can get dough enhancer at specialty kitchen shops~I think it makes everything bind better for bread for sandwiches, etc. I find if I use bread flour, it has some dough enhancers in it, so it does the trick without anything additional. Good luck~I hope it's a smashing success! :)

I've been swearing by skirts in the heat for years. When we head back to school in July, I wear skirts until October break, because it's the only way I can make it through the day without sweating away to nothing.

I don't really like shorts, either. I plan to wear more skirts this summer and even hope to sew myself a couple of new ones.
