Sweet Dream Cookies

I wish you ALL could taste these before you read the ingredients... I can honestly say if I read the ingredients , I wouldn't have made them... But I was given them FIRST and they had such a wonderful unique flavor, I HAD to have the recipe... I PROMISE you will NOT be disappointed...
Sweet Dream Cookies
2 sticks of butter
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1 (12 oz) bag chocolate chips
1 cup powdered sugar
Cream the butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and salt. Blend into butter mixture. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, make about 1 inch balls with dough and roll in powdered sugar, place on cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes...

Ok I have seen two people say they had all the ingredients for this on hand... am I the only one that doesn't stock ground ginger? They LOOK yummy! I will have to get some ginger and try it

I just pulled these out of the oven! I forgot the vanilla and only had white wheat flour (why?) but they are still delicious. That's my kind of recipe, very forgiving. Thanks Jenny.

Yes recipe is very forgiving... 1 tsp of cinnamon or 20 it is still delicious! (opened the scoop side of the cinnamon instead of the sprinkle side... oops) Aaron gave them his approval and took a plate to work tonight :)
